I've heard rumors that somebody has all the Real Books on a Cd rom for sale. If anybody has any info on this, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance...Rick

they are all available here:

(for a free download, that is!)

Realbook, thousands of jazz standards, tons of bluegrass standards.

I would download them, unzip them, and make your own cd-rom.

Rick,

Mike Ihde offered something of that sort here on the Forum - try doing a 'search' under his name.

Thanks Carter & Roger! As far as I can tell, both of these potential leads are for Band in the Box files, which are very cool, but not exactly what I was looking for. I've heard that there is a CD with scanned JPG's of the actual various fake book pages, with 1rst & 2nd endings, Coda's, D.C.'s, D.S.'s etc. etc. My BIAB charts only do basic chords and melody, but no directives. Unless somebody knows differently??? I dont have the latest version of BIAB, so maybe it's charts have been improved.

Thanks again...Rick

Rick

I bought these discs from Mike - they WERE scanned fake-book pages. I'm going to dig them out and have a closer look - I'm computer-illiterate, and our printer was 'down' at the time I got them. That discouraged me from further perusal, and I forgot that I had them until your 'post'!

I'll check them out today and let you know.

OK - I've found the disc. Only now I can't 'open' it!!!! I KNOW this has pages reproduced (it includes twelve fake books) so that you ca print them, 'cause I managed to access them when it first reached me from Mike.

I'm now looking for Mike's e-mail so I can ask him what to do (my computer's asking for a certain program to open the file - which is 'nuts' because the same computer opened the disc before!)

Computers!!!!!

Still haven't had a reply from my e-mail to Mike Ihde.

If you see this, Mike, can you contact me?
