I tried out a prototype version of the National Resophonic Style "D", a squareneck single resonator w/spider (not a bisquit) bridge today at Blue Note Music in San Luis Obispo, CA, home of National Resophonic. I really liked this guitar. Very sweet tone. Didn't compare it to anything but I would think it would hold its own among higher quality resos. Sounded way better than my Korean Regal with the Paul Beard mods, much more refined and soulful.

I think National may have a winner with this one. List price is around $1800 I think.

Sounds like a great guitar Bill. Nothing stirs the heart like a soulful resonator . Although ,speaking for myself, it's going to be a while as I seem to have used up all the Christmas and birthday credits for the next 12 years or so ! Aloha , Ike
