Does anyone know who the guitarist (lead-jazz) is playing on the Weather Channel when they run local segments ?? His playing really caught my ear the last couple days but there are no credits given so I'm at a loss as to who it might be.

Regards, Paul

The same guitarist recently was playing on XM radio Jazz station, Water Colors but the name was not Pat Matheny. I forgot what it was but his last name started with an H. This picker has been mentioned on the Forum a few months back and again, I neglected to write it down.

I've heard Pat Metheny on TWC before. My dad and Pat went to school together (KC area) and played R'n'R in late 60's in HS. Pat has some really cool mainstream stuff and some really off the wall stuff. I dig the older stuff. I'd recommend albums "Letter From Home," "Still Life (Talking)," and "As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls." Haven't listened to much of the newer stuff. "Watercolors" is Pat. Couldn't find a good website for him. Try this one.

Paul, the Weather Channel has been playing a guitarist by the name of Brian Hughes. His CD has been getting a lot of play on XM Radio channel 71 Watercolors.

Paul, you can go to Brian's web site at: http://www.brianhughes.com and click on his CDs and hear a sample from each project and I think you might hear something familiar.

Paul, just for your information, I contacted the Weather Channel on their music. As for the guitarists heard on the Local weather. They listed Brian Hughes, Norman Brown and Pat Metheny for starters. I was surprised to find out how many different artists get play on TWC.
You can go to Http://www.weather.com/aboutus/television/music and see who are the featured artists for that particular month.

I think I got confused. Now I think there's a channel on XM called "Watercolors." Well, Pat Metheny has an album called "Watercolors."

I need to check out this XM deal
