my 53 dual pro's tone control went out on me,i'm bad when it comes to electronics and i hate to start messin around with something this old. any ideas or sugesstions? thanks, will

Will, ... have you considered replaceing the pot yourself ? I can do it ! - I bet you can too ! All you need is a soldering iron, new pot, solderwick (Trade Mark), and solder. I'll bet the total cost of these items is less than what one of the many self proclaimed fix - it guys is going to charge you. One meg. vol. pot Mike Black ? My Dual - Pro is 250K tone and vol. (stock). Would a 1 meg. get me better lows ? Please advise.

All right, if you must know I just got off work and have a drink in my hand ( gin & tonic ). TONE control pot. Well, I'd still love to know if I can squeeze a little more bass out of my Dual - Pro with different pots. Thanks.
