About ten years ago I did some major scrounging and put together a set of tapes with a whole bunch of Top 40 hit songs I remembered hearing on the radio in the early 1970s. On one of them is a song called 'Touch of Magic', which was recorded by the late James Leroy. His band was called 'Denim' and they had a steel player.

James Leroy and Denim could be classified as a pop-rock group, and their songs were played on pop and rock AM radio in Canada around 1973-1974. They were from Ontario, I believe.
