Tony I STRONGLY suggest that if you don't like the Opry you can turn it off. There is a button on your T. V. that says POWER feel free to use it instead of doing all your griping and BELLYACHING about it, or better yet e-mail the Opry about it. |

Tony,
I noticed the same thing! I wasn't able to watch the replay on Sunday morning as I was attending Easter services, but I did hear the steel parts and there was no one in the row. I think we did experience our first "steel tracks" on the Opry.
Jimmy, I don't think Tony was STRONGLY saying he didn't "like the Opry". I heard the same thing. DID YOU?[This message was edited by Michael Holland on 22 April 2003 at 08:00 PM.] |

You're right, Jimmy. And I love the Opry as I know Tony does; I listen every weekend and on Tuesdays, too. I was just noting the OVERUSE of CAPS in your scolding, curiously off point post in response to Tony's astute observation.
I'm going to call the UNION (caps intended) and find out their policy on 'canned tracks' on a TV performance. |

Michael I hate to inform you but my post was not off topic. Things had already gotten off topic when Tony made his post. |

You're right, Gregg. This has gotten way off track. My apologies to Donna and to Bowie and I'll start a new thread regarding using 'pre-recorded steel tracks' on the Opry telecast. I've got a call in to the Union. |
