How could they leave out names like Ray Price .. Faron Young .. Marty Robbins .. Little Jimmy Dickens .. Webb Pierce .. Hank Thompson .. Hank Snow?

... and still include names like .. well, never mind!

Unbelievable!

Alvin,

Some of us aren't on the SGF often enough to see all the threads.

Hence, the duplicate posts on some subjects.

Thanks for posting the links.

What would C.M.T. Top 40 list be if it was 1963, 40 years ago? I know there was no C.M.T. then but if there was would they list--Webb Pierce, Buck Owens, and not Red Foley or Ernie Ford , what a out cry there would be protesting on the streets. Why they picked Sonny James over Uncle Jimmey Thompson( The Opry's first performer) Sonny, not even country they would be saying. Need more greats from the 1920,s 30,s not the new be what a be's of today(1963).Joe
