"Pardon Me (I've Got Someone to Kill)", "We're the Kind of People", "The Cave" and on and on and on. Perhaps his best work was when he recorded for Little Darlin. What a voice and what phrasing.

Hey Gary,
My favorite Paycheck ballad would be "For a Minute There"....He really nailed that one.

I guess my favorite ballad of Johnny's was "In Memory Of A Memory". The last time I saw him was in '99 or so in Beaumont, Tx and although he was having a lot of trouble breathing, when the vocals would hit the mic it was classic Paycheck!!

I've been singing "He has to get home to my wife" lately. People in the bars really seem to like it (I just wish I could sing it half as good as Johnny did!!).
