Most of our special times have included a touching ballad: a time with that special person, a sad time in our life, etc. Who are the ballad singers that you like best? My choices are:

Jim Reeves
Hank Williams, Sr.
Jimmy Dickens
Looking forward to reading your selections!

Since they are such great singers and since women are underrepresented here, I'd add Patty Loveless and Sara Evans.

The greatest balladeer & storyteller to me is JOHNNY CASH. I just could never seem to get enough of him.
