I listed it in the Buy/Sell section but know very little about it. Was told its from the late 30's. Its a Gibson, 6 string, black lacquer with ivory coloring around the body. It came with its original case (has a red line around it). The pickup looks like the one on Brad's page called the EH-125 Rectangular with a silver strip on top. It only has one knob, a volume control, not the two I see on the 125. There's no pickup covers or pickguards or anything like that. The Gibson logo seems more a decal than an inlay. Any ideas? What it is? What its worth?? Can it find a good home? I can't play it.

It could be an EH-100. According to the Gruhn and Carter Electric Guitar book, when it first came out in 1936 it was black with only one volume control. In 1937 they went to a volume and tone control and sunburst finish. See if it looks like this EH-100.

OF COURSE it has value. The real question is, how much will someone pay for such a guitar? (the original list price was $100)
Mandolin Brothers lists an EH-100 with matching amplifier for $1134 USD. Elderly Instruments has an EH-100 for $300.
For what it's worth, I bought one for $175 back in the late 1980s.
