I have met Earl Erb through the Forum and just recently received his CD. This man is
an awesome talent on the Telecaster.

Bill:
Unfortunately I've never heard Earl play , but I did receive this great advise from him here on the forum, back in '99.

'Hey Gord. My best advise to you as how to use theory is to play what you feel. If it sounds good to you then analyse it for future reference. If it doesn't sound good to your ear don't use it. Don't try to analyse everything before you play it because you will get so bogged down trying to be theoretically correct you'll come off sounding mechanical, stiff and boring. "

I remember this every time I practise. Thanks Earl.

Regards - Gord
