Songwriter Harlan Howard passed away last night, age 74. We all know how tragic that is. God bless you, Harlan. We thank you for giving us reason to play.

First Waylon , now Harlan, barely two weeks apart. I remember the cover of the old album "Waylon sings ol Harlan", the two of them grinning from ear to ear, singing and pickin their hearts outs. Its nice to hope that somewhere up there thats exactly what their still doing . |

Well the Possum asked the question in his song, "Who's gonna fill there shoes???" Well we just lost some mighty big shoes that can never be filled again. God Bless you Harlan, we are gonna miss ya. May you rest in peace"SONGWRITER"<<<<<<<<<. |

One of the greatest ever.
God bless you Harlan!
We'll miss you.
I think I'll go listen to my 'Ralph Mooney Plays Harlan Howard' CD. That is the title, right? |

On Trisha Yearwood's "Insideout" cd Harlan wrote one song called "Melancholy Blue"! A great loss indeed.
God Bless Harlan, Theresa |
