I played the Bluebird back in about '90 backing up Patricia Conroy. Neat little place that was quite intimate. The interesting thing was that everybody was yakking right up to show time then everybody shut up. Very respectful. I think that Pat had to pay to play there. |

A room full of the most attentive people I've ever played for. Not usually much steel there, though, but I think steel goes really well with an 'unplugged' environment. I would have played Dobro if it had been appropriate for the room, but a small amp wasn't really out of place. Piano, steel, and vocals -- went over well on a night full of acoustic guitars and mandolins .
Just my experience.
