Hi Guys & Dolls,

Can anyone tell me what a double 8 string Alamo steel guitar on tripod legs, would be worth and are they any good?

Someone that I know has one and plays it ocassionally but I might be able to latch on to it. I think it was made during the early 50's. Any help appreciated!

Unfortunately (or fortunately) these are relatively rare in California. I have almost no information on the Alamo line of steel guitars. I know they were made in San Antonio, Texas, but that's about all right now.

Because of my lack of knowledge, I'd be very hesitant to offer a suggested price at all. I can say that the single neck lap steels I've seen by Alamo weren't very well constructed.
