I see where Bobby Austin has passed away. Thinking back to the great hit "Apartment #9", I always wondered who did the steel work . Fine , mid-sixties,
west-coast style. |

That'd be my personal hero the great Ralph Mooney. I have the capitol phonograph album that song came from. I've always thought it was the best version of the song. Tammy Wynette's didn't hold a candle to Bobby's. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great underated talent.

Would like to hear Austin's version sometime. Did he shuffle it or two beat it. J Bush's is the one we learned and it shuffles.
