My wife needs the words to this song. She thinks the title is "Dreams of a Dreamer". At least that seems to be the hook in the song. I've searched Cowpie and several others and can't find it.

| Jack, I seem to remember a song "Dreams of a Dreamer" being on some of Scottys instructional material a few years back..you might check with him for the words. |

Dan, thats not bad if you are doing from memory. I have the Darell McCall version and he changed a few words.
Walking to my grave to (stoned) to weep.
The ashes of my (youth) have been scattered.
Jack if your wife sangs this song I will have to come hear her. Its a great song.
About 10 years ago my 12 year old son did this song for a school show. Can you see a 12 year old kid sanging,"walking to my grave to stoned to weep". Well needless to say I have never lived that one down. But, on the bright side he loves country music and is one heck of a steel player.

Bob,
Sadly, if someone lives in a large city nowadays, your quote above seems reasonable. I'm sure that for your son, it was only the lyrics of an adult song, not a reflection of his life. Lyrics that, unfortunately, many of his generation could call an anthem in today's world.

| Herb, you are so right. I think God every day my son did not get into drugs. I think music and steel guitar had a lot to do with that. Steel guitar keep him off the streets and out of trouble. |
