Hi everybody! For the past couple of days I've been diggin' this cd-collection of Mr Isaacs' 50s RCA-recordings. I definately encourage anyone interested in the origins of pedal steel and classic c&w instrumentals to get this collection. A bonus for the six stringers are the lead guitar parts by Chet Atkins. I got mine from Geri and Bud Isaacs, I believe you'll find the contact info from the steel players-listing.

Jussi, this album is a "must have" for all serious PSG enthusiasts. Backing band consists of Chet Atkins, Bob Moore, Dale Potter, and Buddy Harmon.

Hey, isn't that the group that did the 'Dance-O-Rama'series for Decca circa 1955; are these recordings from that session at all?

No Jason, the dance-o-rama session included Grady Martin and Hank Garland on the guitars and Tommy Jackson on fiddle. This is a collection of Bud's solo RCA singles from time period appr. -54-56 ( well, same period than dance-o-rama )But Chet was on RCA, so he couldn't record for Decca. Actually the line up on these is almost identical to Chet's classic "Session with"-album. Here the steel is the main instrument with occasional guitar solo ( yummy!!)And yes, it is a must have!! Somebody was asking for the original "Bud's Bounce" once, well, here it is!
