Interviewer: Buck, I grew up watching your TV show on KTVT-11 in Fort Worth in the '60s. The first words I ever read, at age 3, was your name, out of the TV Guide. I'd give anything to be able to buy VHS or DVD copies of the old Buck Owens Ranch TV shows, as many as you could put out. ANY chance of that happening [please!]?
Buck: Yes, there is a very good chance of that. We're in the middle of approaching that right at this point. In the very near future, you're going to be hearing lots about it. Watch www.buckowens.com.
YES! YES!! YES!!!

I remember watching the Buck Owens Ranch Show on KTVT - 11 when I was a kid, too! They had a great Saturday evening lineup with the Wilburn Bros. and Bill Mack's Panther Hall show. Wrestling came on at 10pm. Roller derby was after that.

And we wonder why TV ruined the nightlife business. Wow, Who would go out with a line-up like that on Saturday evening. Too good to be true. Music and wrestling and roller derby!

"The Life and Times of Buck Owens" that has been running on cable lately is really great. They showed a few excerpts of the "Ranch" program. That really would be great if they syndicated that or something. |
