On April 5th. Bill Mack, DJ Fontanna, Paul Peek, and Marco DiMaggio from Italy, will be doing a tribute to Gene Vincent in Nashville, Tenn. At The Ryman Auditorium.
DJ of course worked with Elvis and at Sun Records in the 1950s, Bill Mack played with a variety of country artists before joining Gene Vincent's Blue Caps, Sonny James band, the Dale Hawkins band (with Roy Buchanan), worked the South and Carolinas with his own group and others as well as being part of the first rocking country band at the Palomino Club, Nth Hollywood in 1959. With jazzman Art Pepper in the group as well.
Paul Peek also recorded solo and worked as a Blue Cap, these guys are going to rock the town, so if you're a rockabilly fan, or a rocker at heart check them out.
Also Bill is looking for any of the old West coast faces and anyone who played with him in the old days, the Tunetoppers played all over CA and worked with Johnny Cash, Warren Smith, Red West and Johnny Western among others.
