That depends on your local station (PBS).

yea, that's correct - here it is 11:00 Sat night, but I think each individual PBS station sets it's own airing schedule. I'd assume most have it Sat evening sometime, should be listed. - Neil

Hey Neil,
We get the program on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 PM. I always love the Hag's shows but I was impressed with the Derailers. Marty Muse did a great job on steel. The guy with the red Telecaster has got the old Buck Owen's hairdo for sure. I like the raw sound they put out. It's not polished but it's so damn effective. Kind of like what Dale Watson does, just grabs you by your country (whatever) and squeezes hard. It's really a refreshing sound.

Jerry, you bet, Merle was great - really did a great mix of songs from his new album along with some of the old standards.

and the Derailers, yes they obviously have a great reverence for Bakersfield with the suits and telecasters - and really enjoy the dynamics on stage between Tony Villanueva and Brian Hoefeldt. Tony with the red tele doing most of the lead vocals and Brian with the silver-sparkle lead tele and a pretty fair job of providing Don Rich-style high harmonies. and you're right, Marty Muse's sho-bud work was fantastic, especially highlighted on "Waltz of the Angels".

I caught them live at the Spoke in Austin back in June - one of the best gigs and scenes I've been around in a long time - they are very good live, cruise throught those Harlan Howard songs like nobody's business! - Neil

PS - saw Dale Watson at the Continental Club the same weekend. DW is indeed the realest of "real deals".

If you want to know what's on PBS in your area go to www.pbs.org and type in your zip code where it says to. I'm lucky, because I get two local pbs stations from two different states. Austin city limits is on one station on Friday nites and on the other station it's on Sunday nights. The best part is that they're a week apart, so that means I can watch two different Austin City Limits shows in one weekend.

By the way, I thought the Derailers were a little flakey, but I enjoyed Merle.

I had to wait 3 weeks for it to come 0n in Az ,and i'm glad I didn't miss it.Merle & the boys were good of course, but the derailers and especially Marty Muse blew me away. They really got the sound down.I was really impressed with Mr. Muse. I'd love to see them live.
