The Dance - the "dance" version!

I just heard a rerecorded version of this song. It was by a female and made specifically for the dance/club market. I don't know how old it is. Could be years for all i know. But it was interesting to hear anyways.

P.S. Didn't hear any steel.

I did a rather extensive search, and the only female version I could find was done in 1993 by Emmylou Harris on her "Cowgirls Prayer" CD.

BeBe Winans did a vocal effort on one of Dave Koz's albums, and several instrumental versions have been done, the most notable being George Winston's piano version on his CD "Plains".

Then, it's probably newer. The mix sounds recent. I heard it on an all Dance station. The vocal track lacked any emotional intensity - more of a going through the motions. Cheap way to make a dance record.
