I saw an album in a charity shop last week. It caught my eye because of the picture of a bed, with a very disgruntled looking woman on one side, while on the other was a bloke in Stetson,, boots and a very dodgy pair of boxer shorts, playing the guitar. It was called "Country Music for Bedtime" by ,I think Bill Brice(?)
The thing is some of the songs didn't seem very country- Goodnight Irene, When you and I Were Young Maggie. etc.
I thought "A Little Bit More", or "Do it to me One More Time" might be more apt, but how about the rest of the album?
Over to you Country Gurus.
We could have "Sleepwalk" of course!

Cheers!

You should have bought it! Sometimes, those "dollar racks" turn up a few good sounds. I bought a record once that had a '50s version of Hardrock Gunter playing the "Cincinatti Rag", and the ride in the middle was one of the prettiest solos I'd ever heard..by none other than Les Paul! |
