by Chuck Lettes :
I just received my copy today and it is really some "smooth" steel'n. Chuck plays his Mullen Pedal Steel and several Vintage Rickenbacher "Fry Pan" steels on this CD.
If you like tunes like "California Dreamin' , "Rhythm of the Rain" , "Let It Be Me" , and "True Love Ways" , then this is a CD you will really enjoy.
Thanks for the music Chuck - - - Skip

Hey Skip,
I'm glad you are enjoying my new CD. I had too much fun putting it together. However, John Macy and Dr. Wayne Yakes deserve some of the credit for the production since they helped select the tunes to fit the "concept" of romantic love songs performed on the steel guitar. They also helped select some of the fine musicians who back up my steel guitar. "Cool Blue Steel" really is a labor of love, and I'm glad that you like it. Thanks, Skip
Chuck

Chuck,
how can we get your CD? Also, what kind of playing do you do on it? C6th, E9th?

Hello Tim,
I play a combination of steel guitars on my new CD, "Cool Blue Steel." Most of the melody lines use a vintage 6 string Rickenbacher Fry-Pan guitar, tuned to a modified C6th. I also play my Mullen and MSA, using some traditional E9th/C6th tunings. You can get the CD by e-mailing me. However, bOb will be stocking the CD on the Forum in the near future. Thanks for your interest in my recording.
Chuck
