He had a song out - "You're the Reason" - about 40 years ago that crossed over into the pop charts. Followed it up with a few similar sounding tunes - "What's the Reason" was one - that never really did much. Then he seemed to kind of drop off the face of the earth. Anyone know whatever happened to him?

Bobby Edwards Had a song called Don't pretend
in 1963 #23 on the country charts. Also died that same year from the information I got.

Yes, I remember his songs. They were quite similar in sound and style to the Ray Charles stuff of the same period. His biggest song "You're the Reason" always reminded me of Ray's "I Can't Stop Loving You" of 1962.
