Ok I know there are songwriters on the forum,And this wa'nt be your chance to tell of the big hit you wrote,And your biggest Royalty check.

But I did receive a $4.94 cent check one time
from I.B.M. We were so proud we ,The wife spent about $30.OO haveing it framed in a elcheapo, Walmart gold frame.

I call it sucess ,to a certain exstint.
I also got to say ,I hung a gold one on the wall.

Has anybody ever got a check for less?
This is only meant for fun ,not who outdoing who.
Has anybody else hung one of these little babys on the wall?

I have one for 7 cents. If the steel guitar business gets any worse I'll have to cash it.

I heard of a BMI check for $0.00.

There's a bar down the street called "Residuals" where you used to could get a drink for any royalty or re-use check. Not any more as they couldn't afford it.

That sounds so incuarageing, why thats enough to make a fellow wan't to quit his day job.

All he needs to add to that is a understanding woman, that will go to work for him.

I used to get BMI checks in the $2 to $3 range every 6 months or so for quite a few years. Never got one for a whopping $4.94 though

This check was for airplay in Canada.
I think their money is less in value than ours.
Dose that mean it would not have been worth that much had I lived in Canada?
Maybe more like a two doller check?

I got three BMI checks for a song. One check I gave to the producer, another check went to the arranger. But the biggest check I saved for myself...$7.41 it's in a frame.

I got one for $5.00 and some odd cents, which I had to split with my co-writer.

The first check I got for math tutoring at school after they took taxes out came to 0.01$ no kidding. 1 cent. I still haven't cashed it yet.
