Vernon, me too. I can't stand all those old guys and the crap they try to play. We need more modern rockers on there or the Opry is going to die...

Other than that, I don't listen to the Opry on my radio because I can't pick it up here in the Tampa, Fl area.

I'm also searching for NCS, R&R, Jazz, etc. I am fed up with these old f@rt$ and there Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Hank Sr. and their never ending list of "Old Country" including Bob Wills. Come on, lets move on up or move on out. LOL!

Bill Anderson? Isn't he the guy with the "Hair by Mixmaster"? What looks "cool" on the "Beastie Boys" looks dumb on an older guy.

(I'm just tryin' to help!)

Maby some of the established members of the opry should give way to newer performers but I feel that what I see and hear on the Opry now isn't Country !!

For almost a year now, It has migrated toward everything but country. Plus the performers are even dressing like punk rockers, ripped up bluejeans, torn knees and one guy came out there wearning a cut-up t-shirt and pants so bad that I wondered if he done it just to poke fun at the Opry. Plus most of them coundn't carry a tune in two buckets.

Too bad the Grand Ole Lady has fallen to this level. That why I don't bother to tune in any more.

Vernon, we were all joking. Sometimes someone will post a question and it's ripe for the kibitzers, as this one was.

BJ,Maybe you can get a chia -pet kit like Bill Anderson did,of course it's green when it grows but you can die it any color. all you need is to water it daily.

YES!!!! What my dear friend, Ray, said - more rap and hip hop on the Opry!! But I can even improve on that. If we're gonna have more and more skateboard-country on the Opry, why not build a ramp on one side of the stage and have a coupla kids doing tricks on their skateboards on the ramp? At least on the t.v. portion of the show. Picture this, get a visual on it - Ray Pillow's doing a REAL country song, singin' his a$$ off, Tommy's playin' his a$$ off while the kids are doing skateboard tricks on the ramp!! Man, could life get any better than that????
