Got this CD (King KSCD-5120) yesterday, and what a treat. It's basically a 1965 Capitol album called "The Unforgettable Ira Louvin" combined with three unreleased tracks. Some of the cuts are a bit uneven - I understand they were subjected to overdubs after Ira's death. But the singing shows the real dynamic range of Ira Louvin's voice (he wasn't just a high tenor singer) and some of the songs are phenomenal - one listen to "The Bottom of the Bottle" and you'll be running to your steel to play along! There is some great steel & Dobro work on here already - would love to know who it was as there are no liner notes.

Highly, Highly recommended if you like 60's style country music.
