When I saw him play here in Bakersfield he was using a BOSS RV2. But he could change it around depending on the room.

As always Mr. Brown played great on both the guitar and steel his version of Hula Hands is really good.

I would say a BOSS RV2 or RV3 could get the sound your after.

I have no knowledge of Jr's gear but I can tell you that I am pleased with my RV3. As I was advised, and so I shall pass it on to you--make sure to get the AC adapter. It has a rep for eating batteries.
