A friend, whom I've converted into a HagFan called yesterday to let me know Hag was coming to my area. I checked the tour schedule at http://www.thehag.com and see they've added a number of dates.

I read recently that Merle is calling this year his "Farwell Tour" and that after that he'll take at least a year off touring. He wants to setup a resort where the band can play all the time and he can join in occasionally.

Anyway, I've already warned Norm Hamlet that I'll see him on either the 27th or 28th at the Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun, IN.

Norm replied that they are currently recording some demos and getting ready to shoot a video (Motor Cycle Cowboy).

Bummer!

I just learned that the Hag show at the casino, mentioned above, is by invitation only. If you don’t have a “postcard” then they’re sold out! I’m not a regular gambler so I’m not on the VIP list.

All of this is prompting the wife and I to schedule a trip to Nashville to catch the May 3rd date at the Ryman. In the words of Austin Powers, “YEAH, BABY!”
