This week's "Country Weekly" (dated Jan 11, 2000) has a page dedicated to the memory of country artists who died in 1999. They were nice enough to say a few words about Jimmy Day and Roy Wiggins, and included these pictures:

Jimmy's name on Little Roy's picture, Randy Howard's name on Jimmy's picture - OH MY!

Here's the text about our heros:
quote:
In January, virtuoso pedal steel guitarist Jimmy Day died of heart failure. The popular Day played on recording sessions with Ray Price, Willie Nelson and Charlie Parker, and also served a long stint in Jim Reeves' band. ...

In August, Ivan "Little Roy" Wiggins, longtime steel guitarist for Eddy Arnold, passed away. ...

Did Jimmy really record with Charlie Parker? I'd like to hear that!
