I heard a version of the Amazing Rythm Aces`
old song "Third rate romance" that sounded more modern, but the vocals sounded like Russel Smith.Does anyone know who might be in question ?

Sammy Kershaw had it out as a video and single a few years back.

There was a rather interesting video of it too.As the original song lyrics go its about two folks who have a less than spectacular time on a one night stand. In Nashville's "sanitized" version its about a female hustler stealing someones wallet and then running out of the motel room. Only in Nashville. Groan...Pete.

On Sammy Kershaw's cover of "Third Rate Romance" the backing vocals were done by.... RUSSELL SMITH!! Fair enough, as he wrote the song in the first place!
