These are high quality guitars. I would be on this if I didn't have a collection of Japanese Fender guitars.

Just thought I'd add a item of information for someone looking for a nice Strat but does not know the significance of some of the earlier Japanese Strats. There was a period when Japan was building a better Fender guitar than the USA was. At least that was many peoples opinion. Hence, these have become collectable as well as great players. Even today Fender USA only allows certain Fender Japan built guitars into the USA. The truth is, the craftsmanship of the Japanese guitar is excellent. Good to see Gary's post! The Japanese Fenders of the early-to-mid '80s were some of the best-ever Strats and Teles. I'm told that the Precision Bass was just as good.
I had a 1982 Telecaster (with the 'Fender' logo, but with a tiny 'Squier' icon at the end of the headstock. I was told by a UK importer that the word went out from CA to the Japanese manufacturers to remove the 'Fender' transfer and replace it with a 'Squier' logo - 'cause they were selling NO US-made guitars as a result of the competition!
My '82 was stolen in Aberdeen on a George Hamilton IV tour a few years later, and I can honestly say that I lost the best Tele I ever had on that fateful day.
I bet this Strat is a beauty - someone will be very happy with it!
