I have a 2001 model red GFI Ultra D10, keyed, 8&5, good to very good condition, with an assortment of extra rods & parts... Would anyone consider swapping an S10 keyless plus a couple hundred bucks in a trade?

I love the guitar, but have a few factors: family's expanding (kiddo #2 on the way!), and I'm gigging (and practicing) less for the foreseeable future; could use just a little extra cash for the upcoming diaper days... ha ... Plus, I doubt I'll be mastering C6 between now and "baby time"! : ) It's a little too much guitar for what I'll be able to tackle in the next couple years.

All Best,
Nate

What would you sell the guitar outright for? If you would do that. I have a SD-10 GFI Ultra and I love it. I coverted it to the Day setup.

Could you post some pictures of your guitar? thanks pat

Hi Pat - the outright sale price would be $1775, although I'd really prefer a trade to avoid being without a steel for any period of time. I will post pictures tonight... -Nate

Here are some pics:

To my eye, the "Back" pic is the most true to the actual color of this guitar.

Gotten several inquiries via email - thanks for the interest! Wanted to address some FAQs:

Copedent: the E9 neck is Emmons with some Franklin-based modifications (Es lower on RKL, F#s and string 2 raise on RKR)... C6 neck is standard GFI factory setup, with the addition of lowering Cs on RKL...

Condition/Wear: I've owned this guitar for 9 months. Rec'd it in good but used cosmetic condition. No major wear in my ownership. Functionally it is super. There is some wear on the clearcoat epoxy around the body. Pedal and pull rods show standard minor tarnishing from handling/changing copedants.

Extras: the guitar would include an extra, uninstalled LKL lever (had 2 LKLs when I rec'd it). I could also throw in 2 sets of Buddy Emmons SIT C6 strings.

Trade preference: I'd love to land a GFI Ultra S10 keyless with 4&5, but will also look at 3&5 and 3&4 configs. Would also consider a keyless U12, but I know those are not super common.

Thanks, and let me know if any other questions.

Nate

Thanks for the emails, folks -- yes, I am willing to sell this D10 outright. I realize not everyone has an S10 keyless just sitting around to trade! ha

This guitar has some miles on it, but does absolutely everything it's supposed to...just a bit too much axe for what I'll be able to dedicate in the coming year or two. And there's no way you could get more guitar than this for the money.

Here are some addtional pics of the underside, changer, and disclosure of some minor paint chipping under the E9 roller nut:

I'm sure you've seen this, right? sell yours, buy his. It's sweet, I'd have had it already if it was a double neck Keyless...

I appreciate the thought, Mike - I contacted Joe and his has already been sold.

Cheers,

A great, affordable way for someone to step up to a D10. Not dying to say goodbye to this one, just think it might be wise to downsize. Am considering all modern S10s (keyless) and U12s (keyed or keyless)...
