Decided to hang up my Tele pickin aspirations for now. Looking to trade for a D-10 of some description. A fixer upper would be fine as long as it's not a lost cause and all the parts are there. Just something I can use as a backup/leave at rehearsal guitar.

The Tele is white, currently has a tortoise shell pickguard and I have two others that fit it, including the original white pearl one. The original bridge pickup was replaced with a Seymour Duncan "Five Two" by the original owner. 3 pickups with a 5-way switch.

Pics available.

Thx
David

yes, it is the factory bender, but for some reason I was thinking it was a Parsons/Green?

Should be a P/G. The P/W was done on some Custom Shop guitars. The P/G was chosen as it can be installed with far less labor cost, as all the moving parts are mounted on the metal plate. They can route out the body and install teh whole thing in a manner of minutes from what I have read.

Yup, Ken pretty much summed it up. I've never played a P/W, so I don't know how they compare.

I purchaced a brand new 97 American Standard Tele with the factory installed Parsons / Green B Bender. It has been a real work horse. I was just doing some rough figures in my head, since 1997 I've made somewhere in the vicinity of $50 grand with this guitar. I beleive it has proved it self and payed for it self.

I wished I had the cash or something to trade you out of yours, I'd like to have a Nashville version.

David, How heavy would you say it is? I've only seen a couple of these, and they would have made good boat anchors! But every piece of wood is different.

I never was any good at guessing weight, but I'd say it's comparable to a banjo I had and it weighed in at 13lbs. I find that a good, wide strap helps to offset the weight. It also keeps the strap from slipping when you engage the bender.
