The famous Fender 1000 sound plus the crunch on the C6th neck when you need it.
This guitar has the roller bridges and the Sho-Bud type fingers. Eight floor pedals and no knees although a former owner must have had knee levers as there is two cross shafts still on it. I have had this guitar about 2 years but since I got my Sho-Bud It
stays in the case. It has the normal nicks and dings that you would expect for a 35+ year guitar but it plays great and sounds good. E9th has the Emmons set-up from the 1st to the 8th string. C6th is emmons set up without the 1st and 10th strings. Comes with the 2 cases. $800 plus shipping

Hello, Dave, A bump for a landmark instrument in the evolution of the steel guitar. Played with Jack Miller in the early 70's around Boise and the Western side of Oregon, he played a Fender 1000 and played it very well, he used an A6th and E9th. He'd spent a lot of time backing the stars that would come in to Jackpot, Nevada, and was a fine gentleman and a great player. I'm tempted to think about this one myself, but everytime I play with pedal steel, I'm reminded that I should concentrate on bass and guitar. I'm guessing there is someone out there who would like to have this instrument, Best Wishes, Michael Hillman |

Hi Michael, thanks for the bump. I remember Jack, I was playing in Eugene, Roseburg, and Medford with various bands during that time.
Leon, I just sent you a e-mail with some pic's via the slow land line. Let me know if you dont get them.

David, if you'd be so kind, send me any photos you have to hillman66@cableone.net Have a friend who played a Fender 2000 back in our glory years, bought an MSA in 1977 when Maurice Anderson was showing it at a local music store, and still has that guitar. Another good friend who is a lead player, had a 1000 when he was in the Navy, traded that for a 2000, and never liked the 2000. He recently picked up an older 1000, it's pretty rough, but the price was right...they were a great guitar for their time, I think your price is very reasonable. Michael Hillman |
