I've owned this Fender for many years, which I belive is approximately mid 50's vintage. It plays and sounds wonderful- Really, really nice tone. Features the original pick ups, knobs and hardware. Someone painted it ruby red in the 60's, but the original finish is probably underneath. Was also converted to 4 legs (done fairly well with Fender base sockets) and set up to bend 4 strings on the middle neck. It seems it could be converted back fairly easily. The legs need new clutches, but the chrome is nice.
Comes with original case. This would be a great steel for someone to gig or practice with; Probably could be restored by a pro fairly easily, or enjoyed as is.
Now what I'm looking for: A Fender Double neck 8 of similar vintage (50 -5. Preferably a Professional or Custom- Stringmaster would be great. Would love one in blonde with original hardware.
Trade? Trade + $$?
Thanks,
jay
