My friend Tom Pittman is always traveling and so he asked me to help him sell his road steel he's no longer taking on tour. So here's what he's parting with:
It's a Williams D-10 keyless, which sounds and plays like a Williams does; smooth and positive pedal action. Williams single coil pickups (E9 17.66, C6 18.65). Tone capacitor is bypassed but the knob is still there on the control panel. The guitar has a clear, bright sound with punchy mids.
The pedal set-up is Emmons, but with these knee lever changes:
E9
LKL - 4 and 8 raise 1/2
LKV - 5 and 10 lower 1/2
LKR - 1 and 7 raise 1/2
RKL - 4 and 8 lower 1/2
RKR - 2 lower D/C#, 9 lower 1/2
C6
RKL - 3 lower 1/2
RKR - 4 and 8 raise 1/2
Tom is a very tall man and the guitar is set up 2" over standard height.
The finish is green lacquer over nicely grained maple, but the finish is a little rough cosmetically with quite a bit of small lacquer chipping. The green lacquer did not soak into the wood and so IMHO the guitar is a candidate for a refinish job, which would make it a spectacular looker.
Still, the scratches can be tolerated if you like the sound and operation of this guitar. Some guys don't put much importance in having a "showroom" guitar, but like the look of an instrument that has "lived the life."
The metal condition is still pretty good. It's basically shiny aluminum with some minor scratches, and it could be buffed up really nice.
The case is a custom built flight case, ATA rated, with wheels. Strong as an ox.

Price is $1750, and this is a fine guitar for that money, I think. If it were more pristine cosmetically, it would be $1000 more.
I can take it to St. Louis if the future buyer would like to save shipping charges by picking it up there.
