Early 1970's ('74?) Rickenbacker, Electro - Model 100 series (105?)
All original. Easy playing, nice sounding lap steel with single coil PU. String roots thru body. Tuner buttons in excellent condition. 22" scale. String spacing 3/8" at bridge, 5/16" at nut.
Translucent deep red finish. Nominal dings & finish chipping on edges, otherwise quite clean. Guitar's condition is 8.5 on a 1-10 scale.
Volume and tone pots are fully responsive and quiet. Nice even curve on tone pot.
Sold with or without original hardshell case. Milk chocolate color tolex, "leather" (?) ends, white piping. Complete and fully functional. Interior is very clean, red plush lined, condition 9 on a 1-10, with only the exterior showing normal wear condition 7, on a 1-10.
$300 guitar only; $350 w/original case included. No more than $30 shipping USPS Priority Mail from Hawaii to USA (might be less). Payment via USPS Money Order only.

Bump for a nice guy and nice little lap steel. These steels do play nice, sound nice, very resonant and are light & compact.

"Amazing" that this steel sat here for 5 days without an inquiring message; Maybe via emails? Must be our Bush-whacked country / economy? 
These Steels sound quite a bit like the MOTS Maggies, just not as sharp-edgy, and more resonant with a mellower tone, particularly on the lower-end; Really nice Hawaiian tones with the tone pot rolled back into the "JB" "Hawaiian" spot. Very light and handy to transport.
Ron, let me know right away if someone buys this without the case (can't imagine why they would). I think the "leather-ette" end caps are "Gator-ette" ...retro "Rickengucci"!

Hey Den, it's going with the case to Mr. Bullard, who's serving his country in Germany.
You are correct about the sound at the lower end of the tone dial being sweet. I even like it's 'old' sound with it completely rolled off. Most guitars get all muddy at that point, but this one hangs in there. |
