Our church has this for sale. It is in great shape. The pedals are on the side. It was designed by Bud Isaacs for Gibson. We are located in Dallas. I can email pics. We do not know the value. If you know the value email me pastorafreeman@comcast.net

Here is what I believe is a similar or same model on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com...
Perhaps by watching the bidding you can have some idea of value.

Charlie.. as far as I know, they never made a "Black" one, so it's probably re-finished

They did make the black one. I had a new one in 1958, my first pedal steel, looked exactly like the one on Ebay. It was a triple 8, sounded good, pedals worked surprisingly well for raises, but lowers were a real pain, and not true. The one on Ebay looks original and in good shape.

Thanks for the correction Billy.. are you sure about 1958 ?

I was basing my statement on the one I own.
I also found that lowers were most inaccurate with this mechanism, the ORIGINAL Gibson mechanism on the first Electraharps had to be altered because it contravened the Harlin Bros. Patent for the Multichord..

The red buttons are for the "machine Gun" effect and the black ones are the tone bypass/reversal ones for the Boo-Wah sound..
Baz
BTW an Awesome Tone from this guitar..

Basil-Thanks for the pics. Why don't the builders of today put those controls on their guitars? Too costly? That was standard in the old days.

You are right about the changer, I had an Original Electra-harp with the Mult-kord type changer and played it for 13 years before I built my own.I played that one for 10 years before I got my first D12 MSA.
Both pics are on my Website......al.
