1950 Fender Deluxe 6 lap steel for sale.
6 string Fender lap steel circa 1950, very clean blond finish in its original tweed case, Serial number 423 on peghead.
Guitar has straight body sides, block letter Fender logo on the treble side of the fingerboard, drop in tuner assembly,
trapezoid shaped pickup with bass end wider than treble and strings running through the pickup.
Very clean, shiny, all original nickel plated hardware .
The yellow blond finish is in excellent condition except for two vertical scratches on the bass (player) side of the guitar , not visible from audience.
Case has some staining on the top and some wear on the edges but is in excellent condition considering its age, with working original brass hardware and velvet lining.
I bought this at a swap meet in Southern California in 1975.
I'd like to give the forum members first crack at this sweet Fender. It has been appraised at $1250 by Gruhn, I'd like to get $1000 here, if not, then I'll try e-bay.
