I have a customer that received this Oak guitar on Christmas in 1954 along with a matching Fender Deluxe "Wide Face" amplifier. Both are totally original and both are in amazingly terrific shape. He wants to sell them and obviously wants to get as much as possible for them. He said that the set was valued at 4k 10 years ago. In doing quite a bit of checking, it seems that 1- he is in the ball park and 2- he is right- they appear to have never been altered. I have been commissioned to sell them for him and plan on putting both on Ebay on Tuesday. The price on the Deluxe currently is $2500 and the Stringmaster is $2000. Pictures available for serious inquiries on request (although they can be seen together on TC Furlong's post- "Four Pair" in my reply in the Pedal Steel section.

Jim, is that a long scale? Difficult (for me) to tell from the photo.

I'm seeing 33 frets, same as my 26" D-8.
