This guitar is a 74/75. Beautiful green fade in near new condition. 8+4. Adjustable polished aluminum knee levers installed by Jerry Fessenden. Action regulated by Greg Jones in Kentucky. The guitar looks and plays like a new guitar. Split plush (solves weight issues) cases by Thomas Custom cases with matching green interior. Body case has wheels and spring handles for easy transport. The cases are custom covered in genuine Fender tweed covering for that vintage look.
All metal polished to new condition including the bottom of the guitar which is polshed aluminum not painted parts like on some of the earlier ZB's. The guitar has no discernable cabinet drop and was action regulated using a meter. Its dead accurate. I have played this guitar for the last two years and have used it opening for many Nashville major acts with my band. The sound is awesome ZB Custom. Pictures can be seen on the ZB thread in the Pedal Steel section. Look on page 15. If you need more pictures I'll send them. The only reason that I am selling this guitar is that I have more in restoration that I am going to be turning out and I can't keep them all. These are collectors pieces. $2450 plus shipping, firm. If you have ever wanted to own a ZB in perfect condition this is an example.[This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 11 April 2005 at 08:58 PM.] [This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 11 April 2005 at 10:38 PM.] |

Chuck, you're right, this is an incredible guitar, but I have more coming out of restoration that are complete knockouts and I can't keep them all. I'm trying to put some of these ZB's back out in circulation after they have been completely gone over. Anyone who hasn't played a properly adjusted ZB would be shocked at how well and accurately they play. Someone is going to get a very valuable guitar here. |

Kevin...Awww man, couldn't you have at least priced it a little higher. I might even be able to afford it. Hey Crowbear could I keep it at your house? That way my wife couldn't find it.
Even though I have a great ZB, that is completely well adjusted by Greg, one like this is soooo tempting. Folks, if you don't have one this is the one. Chuck's looks good too, though.
Best of luck Kevin...I'm drooling and figuring out how to get to Crowbear's every night to play it.

I have seen this guitar in person at an NTSGA Super Jam a couple years ago. It is absolutely a work of art! It looks "show room new" and knowing Kevin's dedication to detail, I am positive it plays and sounds exactly like a ZB should. The person that purchases this steel is going to get a drop dead gorgeous guitar that they can be proud to own & play.

I've personally seen this ZB at Kevin's home. It's absolutely beautiful & one of the best sounding ZB's I've ever heard. Truly, a near mint classic. |
