Someone told me about the band Major Lingo. They're based in Arizona and feature Tony Bruno on some sort of stand up non-pedal steel guitar.
Has anyone ever seen them? The samples on their site sound pretty good if you like this sort of thing.

Yeah Brad, I've seen them once. His set up is odd, he's got what looks like a Fender steel with legs, which he then puts a blanket on and then sets a Ric on top of that. Never saw him play the Fender. Awesome slider. They play kind of Deadish (Grateful that is) world music. not really my cup of tea but an excellent band with good vocals and a VERY loyal following. You can catch them a couple times a year here in Phx. but they live up north and seem to be happy playing local gigs.
