I am thinking about selling my Takamine Flat Top. I bought it back when Takamine was just starting out. It has a one piece top and the built in pickup. The headstock has printing that resembles a Martin Logo. I would like to sell it to buy a Steel King, but I have no idea what it's worth. Does anybody know or have any ideas how I can find out what would be a fair asking price?

Hey George, a music store near my house has an old Takamine Jumbo which looks like a Guild. It's a solid top guitar and sounds very nice. They want $299.00 for it with a hardshell case....JH in Va.

Thanks for the reply, Jerry. I bought it discounted at Rhythm City in Atlanta and I think I paid either $260 or $360, (including the hard shell case), not sure which, 20 years ago at least. I thought they might have increased in value, so if it is only worth $300.00 or so, I will just keep it and figure out another way to go on getting a Steel King.
