Forumites,
I am selling a near-mint condition MCI D-10. It has 8 pedals, 5 knees. I have a pair of George L E-66s in it.
I am not 100% sure when this guitar was made. It has a serial number, but I havn't checked it out yet. Gary Carpenter thinks it was an early Arlington MCI before they went to welded frames.
The guitar is a fantastic guitar. Anyone who has owned an MCI knows what I mean. It's very well built, has great sustain, is mechanically trouble free, and is a good weight-- not too light, not too heavy.
I have cleaned all the metal parts on this guitar and relubed the entire undercarriage. It currently has some wacky changes (I put the Mooney changes on pedal 0 and "8") but I'd be happy to redo the underbelly for you.
This guitar is very sentimental to me, but I hate to see it collect dust.
If anyone is looking for a steel but doesnt want to spend 2000 dollars, the MCI is the way to go.
Asking $1600 + shipping or pickup at Dallas show.
Includes some spare bell cranks.

Thanks!

Howdy Burton, my buddy Steve Garrison is VERY interested in your guitar. His number is 803-517-5034, or if you will give me your number, I'll have him call you.
Thanks

I've had a short love affair with an MCI. I bought it from a man who was in a financial pinch, but who was a great steeler. It was a very hard thing for him to do.
His SS came through for him and wondered if I would consider selling it back to him. Out of my respect and compassion for him, I have done so, but I must say that it is a sacrifice. That MCI is the smoothest playing guitar I've ever played and it sounds like a very good PP.
I would say $1600 would be money well spent on one of these treasures. |
