i'm helping some folks sell off some gear, and not being a pedal steel player (i play lap steel), i'm a little bit unsure of some of the prices that they want. i'm going to list the prices that they want, and i'm hoping people will tell me if they're out of line.
1. sierra artist double 10 pedal steel. 8 pedals, 4 knee levers. george l's pickups. beautiful gray stained birds eye maple cabinet. comes with cover and "wheel-eze" case. this guitar is in brand new condition. i'm told that it never went out of the house. there's not a mark on it. $2000
2. sierra 8-string lap steel. black finish. george l's pickup. original case. mint condition. $750.
i also have 2 1947 gibson br4 six string lap steels. one is mine, and is listed elsewhere, the other has had the finish stripped to natural. it looks very nice, and is all original, with the original hard case. asking $300.
i have pictures that i can email. if you're interested, and feel that the prices are out of line, make an offer. the people that own this gear are retired musicians.
thanks, john |

well, i've heard from a couple of people that the price on the D-10 is too high. i poked around some more and found a sierra D-10 that sold on ebay for $1499. it was a different model- 8 + 5, slide in pickups, and metal (?) body.
these folks want to sell this guitar, so make an offer.
thanks, john |

please close out this thread. the lap steel is sold, and the people who own this gear have proven to be unreliable in their business dealings. |
