I bought this beautiful guitar, back around November 22 from Frank Parish. It used to belong to Thompson Cartwright, Several buyers wanted this guitar at the time. It is Wine Red,and was made in 94.
It is really a sweet sounding guitar. Here is a quote from Frank Parish back on November 26,on the forum. .
"It was purple when new but has faded to a wine color and really I like it a lot better than before. It looks incredible on stage like the finish was original. The underneath of the guitar is still purple.
No BCT but really it plays great and has great sustain. It was sent back to Carter for a set-up this past summer. The guitar is a hard rock maple wood body with real Abalone you'd pay a lot more for if you ordered a new one. It has GL 1-10 p-ups.
It stays in tune and returns true every time.
Standard Emmons set up with the F# to G# raise on the first string E9 and G# to F# on the 6th string E9.
It also has the Franklin 4th pedal lowering the 5th and 6th strings a whole tone on E9.
The back neck is standard with the D on top with the exception of the Jernigan 4th pedal and a vertical that lowers the 6th string a whole tone. It'll do about anything for chords and the Jernigan pedal is very cool."Unquote!
It is truly one of the best guitars i ever owned. And one of the smoothest too.
Even tho this guitar is on the light side, and built like no other guitar i ever had, and a dream, I have to let it go, because of health reasons.
I believe I need a Williams SD10 fairly new with the 400 changer, or a SD Carter with the BCT. It needs to be lighter because of a hip replacement,And I will need to change the E's lower to the RKL Position.Which i could prabably do also.
I need to get a SD Williams or Carter or what have you? valued at about 2000.00. A postal money order or cashiers check will do. And I will accept a International money order.
For questions send email.
Pistures are on the way! |
