Emmons student model S10, 3 and 1 for sale.
Cheap $350 plus $25 shipping.
comes with a crumby case ! It works and sounds pretty good but is very ugly.

I'll tell anybody who wants to know all about it. Its 100% Emmons. Its had a rough life. There are little holes in the back apron. I don't think this would be a good steel to buy if you don't have someone around who knows PP's a bit.
I rebuilt the changer and made new push and raise rods for it. I got it working pretty good. For $350 its a decent deal. Heck, the case alone is worth upwards of $20 !
I will insist that anybody who wants to buy it talk to me on the phone so I can make sure it will be right for them.
One guy says he wants it already and I've got a bunch of other guys looking at it at the moment.

| These little Emmons sound just like any pushpull ever built and they can be set up like all the other pushpulls.A little math,pickup 100 dollors,key head with tuning keys 100 to 150,pedals 25 each.Pedal rods ,bell cranks,pushpull rods and tuner finger,100 minimum.By why part out a steel that you can carry on your hip with one hand that sounds as good as any steel I,ve ever heard. ls |

I've now realized I have been too tough on the little guy. After hanging out with it for a while all set up and ready to play some music its looking sorta cute.
The case is one of those stock Emmons cases from the late 60's. A little banged up but fits the steel and will protect it just fine.
I just don't want anybody to buy this steel thinking they are getting something in new condition. I'll leave it on here till friday the 7th at noon then its off the market.
I'm selling it cheap because I need to put a little cash together to cover a couple bills while I'm on the road.

That was my first steel! I got one in a pawn shop about 15 years ago for $200. It was perfect except for a cig. burn on top.
Sold it a while back for $400. It really did sound nice! - but yes, it is ugly. Although I did my very first steel gig with it about 10 years ago and it did fine.

HEY bob, are the parts same as a regular push pull??man i need it if they are!! i figure fingers will be shorter.let me know what you know.if you put a neck on her,fingers would be short huh?????

The parts are the same as a regular PP except the changer fingers look shorter than a pro model. I wouldn't bother trying to put a neck on it.
Its a simple student guitar that is very affordable.

ou lala,i now own the uglyiest guitar!!bet i don't have to worry about the girls climbing on that one??huh!this is a goodun for those country ho downs.throw the whole dam thing at um.boys i can just here it talking now!!and its a emmons push pull to!!now i need a ugly amp to go with it huh.this way when things get to bad,jump up and leave it all!!haha,i know no one will steel it.Hey boys this looks great compared to what i was playing 40yrs.ago. wonder if buddy built this??shoot,Bobbe Seymore will be after me now.i got an original!!! can't hardly wait boys.dang, wish i had it this wk.end.put it to plowing. | Before this closes, I just want to say that I have one of these student Emmonses (with the same ugly finish), as well as a pro model Emmons S10...I have upgraded the ugly guitar to 3 X 4, and I almost always use it at gigs, since it sounds just as good (actually better, to my ear) than the pro model, it's lighter, and I don't have to worry about spilled beer, etc...for $350 it's a GREAT deal. |

| If you decide to play it and not use it for parts, I would recommend putting some adjustable legs on it...the ones that come with it are pretty short. |

Emmons made at least three lengths of changer fingers, and I guess this would be a better post if I gave you the measurements.
The longest fingers are found on the E9 side ot D10s or loafers.
The next longest are on the C6 side of D10s or usually on single necks.
The shortest fingers are found on Student models such as you see here with flat necks and bolt-on changers.
I suppose you could make a D10 Student using a C6 changer for the outside and a student changer for the inside.
