First of all, I realize this item would not be of interest to a collector, but; perhaps to an active musician!
Unfortunately, after considerable time; my potential purchaser has incurred a situation which makes his purchase impossible at this time! Therefore, I have decided to re-Post this fine instrument in case someone else might be interested. As near as I can figure, the condition of this Steel is pretty well covered at this Personal-Website: Just click here Thanks, “Big John”

Fender had a color as an option which was
"Inca Silver". This color was available on all Strats and P.Basses and J.Basses. I had asked Leo to make me a Triple Custom in Inca
Silver and he favored a little deeper silver which would describe John Bechtels Custom which is for sale. Leo felt that the deeper
silver would make a better contrast against the chrome pickups. However about that time only one was made up and that was made for me

When I rceieved it,it attracted many steel players and I had taken about 6 orders for the newer darker shade of silver which is now refferred to as "pewter".

My pewter Custom was stolen from my vehicle years ago. If those who have never seen a "pewter" Custom or Dual Pro for that matter
it is a great looking guitar with the black fret boards and chrome pickups etc. It will
knock your eyes out.

Shortly after Leo stopped building Custom guitars and concentrated on Stringmasters and
for some reason the pewter was never brought
up again. They now call that Silver the Silver anniversary model on strats. Pewter is a great color. I like the silver, but the pewter stands out.

If any of you are considering a Custom guitar
give John Bechtels guitar a look, it may suprise you. And I beleive his asking price is fair to say the least.

As one steel players said when he saw my Pewter Custom. He said wow..Forget the blonde
guitars and give me one of those.

That is "pewterful". edited to add that John Bechtel is a man of his word. He's honest and
an expert at Fender guitars..He's way ahead of me on Fender technology. This is a great buy for someone who wants a great guitar and an added bonus is that Jason Lollar re wound the pickups and it dont get better than that.

My dad asked me to give Big John a BUMP..what does that mean?? I am not that kind of a girl. This had better have a good
explanation or my dad's in trouble as usual.

Well I had my eye on this beauty before, but then it was sold. Then the buyer was a flyer and it was unsold and relisted. Then I read what Jody had to say about it. Then my lovely wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday . .
Then I called Big John and sealed the steel, I mean the deal . .

Then, come to find out - it's his birthday too!
How cool is that?!
