NEED INSTRUCTIONS ON WHEN AND HOW TO USE A VOLUME PEDAL.HOW DO YOU USE IT IN A SONG?Where in a song do you insert it?

You normally would use a volume pedal in a song when you want to make the notes you're playing softer (or louder) relative to the rest of the band.
You can use the volume pedal to "swell" the notes (start at a very low volume and swell up to full volume), but you should be careful not to over-use this effect.
You can also use the volume pedal to keep buzzing from your amp, effects or guitar from being noted while others are playing.
I'm sorry if this seems simplistic, but I'm not really sure what you're asking for here. Did you just get a volume pedal, or are you considering using one?
